2018 BOND ADVISORY COMMITTEE

The College of the Mainland 2018 Bond Advisory Committee is a diverse group of community leaders, administration, former students and teachers, industry professionals, and local business owners representing a diverse cross section of the COM taxing district. The committee is charged with discussing the COM long range facility master plan, assisting COM with making decisions that will positively impact the college and the community, and providing feedback on COM's plan for a November 2018 bond referendum that will ultimately be presented to the COM Board of Trustees for consideration.


The 2018 Bond Advisory Committee's scope of work includes:

  • ​Consideration and analysis of data related to possible bond election
  • Basic knowledge of community college finance issues and College financial data
  • Review of College facilities, programmatic, technology, and safety and security needs
  • Collaborative feedback on a presented bond package
  • Participation in follow-up activities that result from a possible bond referendum
